Golf ball drop 2024


We are excited to unveil CGSL’s biggest fundraiser ever – the Golf Ball Drop – which launches NOW!


This is an exciting, first of its kind fundraiser for our league, and replaces the candy sales from previous seasons. The Golf Ball Drop fundraiser will help the league equip our new home at Arnold Cypress Park which is scheduled to open in 2025. We need 100% league-wide participation – all players will join in on the fun and have an opportunity to sell, with fun prizes and rewards available. Sales begin now and the Golf Ball Drop will take place during Closing Ceremonies (May 10).   

HERE’S ALL THE DETAILS:

 

Who: All Spring CGSL players, unless the fundraiser buyout was selected during registration, will participate. If you selected the buyout, but still want to participate, you are encouraged to join the fun!

 

Every player family will sell a minimum of 5 golf ball tickets at $20 each ($100 minimum). Players who sell more than the minimum will compete for rewards with the top-three earning gift card rewards. Families with more than one player will only be asked to meet the initial $100 goal, but are encouraged to sell more. 

 

Why: As a non-profit, fundraising is a vital part of being able to provide quality and meaningful programs to the families of Cypress Girls Softball League. With the Arnold Cypress Park renovation, we are starting from scratch in preparing the facility, including the snack bar, with new equipment to provide the families we serve with the best experience possible. Donations through fundraising will directly help provide a rewarding experience for years to come.

 

How: Please invite your family, friends, colleagues to support your player and spread the word through email and social media!

💬 Under the Team Member Info (Below the league logo in the upper left corner), search for your player by using first name initial and last name initial, then select player name. Golf Ball Ticket Donations can then be made online via credit card.

 

📲 All sales will go through the Golf Ball Drop page - no cash donations will be made directly through teams. If you have someone who would like to make a cash donation, player parents are asked to help them by accepting the cash donation and applying it online with their own credit card.

 

🎟️ Each ticket sold represents a number on a golf ball. The numbered balls will be collected and dropped together during Closing Ceremonies with prizes.

 

⛳ Fundraiser takes place from February 26 through May 3 (for minimum sales requirements), with tickets being available up through midnight May 9.

 

🗓️ The Golf Ball Drop will be held at Closing Ceremonies on Friday, May 10

 

🏆 Prizes will be awarded for where the golf ball lands, ranging from $250 to the Grand Prize Marker of $1,000 and are displayed on the Golf Ball Drop page. The winner does not have to be present to win.
